The White Sox made a minor swap in 1976 acquiring Dave Duncan from the Orioles for Pat Kelly, but Duncan never played a game for the team.
In the 1997 expansion draft, the White Sox lost three players, including catcher Jorge Fabergas who had his best stint with the team.
Fabergas and McElroy were actually acquired by the White Sox in a trade with the Angels just six months earlier. [ more ]
